Biography

Genevieve is a graduate assistant from the UNC Greensboro Educational Leadership and Cultural Foundations Ph.D. program. Her current responsibilities are teaching Academic Success Planning (CTP 111), Navigating College Life (CTP 211), Essential Elements of Credit and Debt Management (CTP 306), and Personal Financial Planning Seminar (CTP 326).

Genevieve started working with Beyond Academics in 2015 through an internship with the JMSW program at UNC Greensboro and NC A&T. During this period her duties were providing academic support and assisting with program evaluation through CQL accrediting Personal Outcome Measures. Since then she returned to work as a graduate assistant providing student support, practicum instruction, and teaching. Previously she worked as a Student Support Specialist for Communities in Schools of Forsyth County (CIS-FC). Where she took with her and developed the tenets of CIS: providing a positive and supportive role model, a safe environment to learn and grow, a link to assistance for basic needs, skills training, and understanding the importance of community involvement.
