Cicely “CC” Jones is the Student Resource Coordinator for the Office of Comprehensive Transition and Postsecondary Education. She began as an intern with Beyond Academics in the fall of 2018 and began working with the office full time in the summer of 2020. She is responsible for creating and implementing students’ college support plans, providing counseling services, and providing supervision to interns from the social work department. She currently teaches classes in Advocacy and the Senior Capstone Portfolio. She has earned a BA in Psychology, an MA in Women’s and Gender Studies, and a Master of Social Work degree. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Associate and is working toward a PhD in Educational Leadership and Cultural Foundations at UNCG. 

Research Interests

Social justice, disability studies, critical pedagogy, dual diagnoses of IDD and mental health, developmental trauma and developmental disability, autism spectrum disorder in women and girls
