Beyond Academics

Integrative Community Studies

Students in the ICS certificate are required to meet 90-120 credits over the course of their enrollment in the program of study by taking a combination of certificate courses (CTP) and courses in other departments.  The program of study offers a flexible, interdisciplinary approach to meeting learning outcomes, as well as universally designed academic supports and instruction.

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

CREDITS


Students are required to complete 90-120 credits over the course of their enrollment.

GPA


Students are required to maintain a 2.0 GPA to remain in good academic standing.

INTERNSHIP


Students are required to complete a minimum of 130 internship hours with a campus or community employer.

SERVICE


Students are required to complete 200 service hours through service learning/community volunteering.

CAPSTONE PORTFOLIO


Students are required to complete an individualized, creative portfolio that exhibits how their skills and ideas have developed throughout their journey at UNC Greensboro, while also providing tools for the students continued success.
